Why Does Bank Account Verification Fail?

When adding a bank account to your BTSE Indonesia account, the bank account must undergo a verification process. Under certain circumstances, bank account verification may fail.

Here are some of the most common reasons:

1. The Name on the ID Card Does Not Match the Name on the Bank Account

The bank account holder’s name must match the identity information registered with the BTSE Indonesia account.

A discrepancy in the name may cause the bank account verification to fail.

Example:

  • Name on ID card: BUDI SANTOSO

  • Name on bank account: BUDI SANTOSO → ✅ Match

  • Name on bank account: BUDI SATOSO → ❌ Does not match

2. The Bank Account Is Registered Under Another Person’s Name

The bank account being added must belong to the owner of the BTSE Indonesia account.

Bank accounts registered under the name of a spouse, family member, friend, or any other party cannot be used for bank account verification.

3. The Bank Is Not Supported

Make sure the bank you wish to add is included in the list of banks supported by BTSE Indonesia.

If the bank is not currently available or supported, the bank account cannot be added or verified.

4. Incorrectly Entered Information

Verification may also fail if there are errors when entering the bank account information, such as:

  • Incorrect or incomplete bank account number.

  • Incorrect bank name.

  • Bank account information that does not match the records held by the bank.

Make sure all information entered is correct before proceeding with the verification process.

Important Note: Make sure the bank account you use is registered under your own name and that the name and account details match the information registered with your BTSE Indonesia account.
