How to Complete KYC Verification for Foreign Nationals on BTSE Indonesia
If you are registering at BTSE Indonesia as a foreign national (non-Indonesian citizen), you are required to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) process in order to access full platform services, including buying and selling crypto assets.
KYC is a mandatory identity verification procedure used by financial platforms and crypto exchanges to ensure that all users are properly identified, comply with regulations, and use the platform responsibly. This helps maintain account security and supports the integrity of the digital asset ecosystem.
Once completed, your personal data will be securely stored and used only for verification purposes in accordance with applicable regulations.
Required Documents for Foreign Users:
A valid passport
A valid KITAS or KITAP - KITAS (Limited Stay Permit Card) is a temporary stay permit for foreigners living in Indonesia for a limited period, while KITAP (Permanent Stay Permit Card) is issued to foreigners with long-term or permanent residency status in Indonesia. Both are official immigration documents issued by Indonesian authorities.
Please note that users without a KITAS or KITAP are not eligible to complete the KYC process. Other documents such as e-visa, bank statements, driver’s license, or alternative IDs cannot be used as substitutes.
