What Is a Network in Crypto Transactions?

network is a blockchain system used to process crypto asset transactions from one wallet address to another.

When making a crypto deposit or withdrawal, you need to select the network that is supported by both the asset and the destination platform. The same crypto asset may be available on multiple networks.

Example

For example, USDT may be available on several networks, including:

  • Ethereum (ERC-20)

  • BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20)

  • Tron (TRC-20)

  • Solana (SPL)

Although the asset is the same USDT, each network operates on a different blockchain system and may use different wallet addresses.

Why Is Selecting the Correct Network Important?

The network determines the blockchain used to send and receive crypto assets.

When withdrawing from BTSE Indonesia to another exchange or wallet, the selected network must be supported by the destination platform and match the network of the destination deposit/receive address.

For example:

If you obtain a USDT deposit address on the TRC-20 network from the destination platform, you must select TRC-20 when making the withdrawal from BTSE Indonesia.

Do not select a different network simply because the asset is the same, such as USDT.

What Happens If I Select the Wrong Network?

Selecting the wrong network may cause the assets to not arrive at the destination address and, in some cases, may make the assets difficult or impossible to recover.

The possibility of recovering the assets also depends on whether the destination platform supports recovery for transactions made using the incorrect network.
