Are you experiencing an issue where the OTP codes received via email and SMS do not match, even though you entered the latest code?
One of the things you should check is the date and time settings on your device. Incorrect device time settings, especially when the time is set manually, may cause issues during the OTP verification process.
Why Don't My Email and SMS OTPs Match?
OTP verification relies on accurate time synchronization.
If the date or time on your device is set manually and does not match the actual time, a time difference may occur during the OTP verification process.
This may cause:
The OTP to be considered invalid.
The latest OTP to not work.
The OTP received via email and SMS to appear inconsistent.
The verification process to fail.
How Can I Fix This?
Make sure the date and time on your device are set automatically.
For Android
Open Settings.
Select Date & Time.
Enable Set time automatically.
Enable Set time zone automatically, if available.
Make sure the date, time, and time zone are correct.
For iPhone
Open Settings.
Select General.
Select Date & Time.
Enable Set Automatically.
Make sure the time zone is correct.
After updating your device's time settings, try the verification process again and request a new OTP.
OTP Still Doesn't Match?
If you are still experiencing issues after setting your device's time automatically, try the following:
Make sure you are using the latest OTP.
Do not use an OTP that has already expired.
Avoid requesting multiple OTPs repeatedly within a short period.
Make sure your internet connection is stable.
Close and reopen the application or browser, then try the verification process again.
If the issue persists, please contact BTSE Indonesia Customer Support for further assistance.
Important Notes
Never share your OTP with anyone, including anyone claiming to be BTSE Indonesia Customer Support.
Make sure your device's date and time are set automatically, rather than manually.
Always use the latest OTP you receive.
OTPs are valid for a limited period and cannot be used after they expire.
